
Henry Sipes is an award-winning author of science fiction novels and short stories. He became interested in space as a child and pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Purdue University. He was appointed a volunteer park astronomer at the Otter Creek Park Observatory near Fort Knox in 2006 and served as a park astronomer for South Harrison Park, Indiana, for almost a decade. He also served as a NASA Solar System Ambassador and earned a Master of Science in Astronomy from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.
For the past 27 years, Henry has worked as a packaging engineer for a privately held, global manufacturer of electronic interconnect solutions, including products used in the aerospace industry.
Henry lives with his family on a 25-acre tree farm, raising chickens and honey bees. He is an avid hiker and has hiked numerous trails around the country, most recently completing the Knife’s Edge in Baxter State Park, Maine.
